Free Small Business Center Seminars in March

The Sandhills Community College Small Business Center offers free seminars, counseling, assistance, resources, and networking opportunities for small business owners, employees, and prospective business owners. March is loaded with opportunities to help local small businesses grow. 


“Business Taxes – Great Beginnings” points the new or potential business owner in the right direction, providing an overview of business taxes, financial record keeping, legal structure, financing alternative and risk management. This class will be held March 14 from 6 – 9 p.m.


Every savvy business person knows that without sales a business has no financial future. “Marketing Your Business and Finding Your Customers” teaches students to market a business and experience success. Class will be held March 21 from 6 – 9 p.m. 


“Basics of Bookkeeping – Accounting for You and Me” covers the working knowledge of basic accounting skills needed for a small business. Learn about cash flow, income statements and balance sheets. This course will be held March 28 from 6 – 9 p.m. 


Moving through change takes time and energy and is extremely stressful. “How the Small Business Owner Deals with Constant Change” helps business owners recognize and embrace change and make it work for their companies. This course will be held March 1 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.


In the small group working sessions held in “Business Marketing for Creative Entrepreneurs,” participants will begin with the basics and apply newfound knowledge to the specifics of individual businesses. Each session will be limited to eight participants. This course will be held March 9 from 6 – 9 p.m.
