Notice of Nondiscrimination

Sandhills Community College complies with Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (“Title IX”) in assuring that no student or employee shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination in any program or activity of the College. In accordance with the requirements of Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Sandhills Community College ensures equality of treatment and access for all students and employees, female or male. Sexual harassment and sexual violence are forms of sex discrimination prohibited by Title IX, as outlined in the U.S. Department of Education’s Dear Colleague Letter, 2011. Title IX also prohibits retaliation against people for making or participating in complaints of sex discrimination, see U.S. Department of Education, Dear Colleague Letter, 2011.

Complaints related to sex discrimination or sexual misconduct should be filed with the Executive Vice President, Associate Vice President of Human Resources, or the Dean of the Hoke Center.
